Ideally located to explore the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest, Castaways Resort & Spa is a luxurious beachfront escape on Mission Beach.

Castaways Resort & Spa On Mission Beach is comprised of two centrally located properties. The absolute beachfront property features rooms and apartments with unrivalled ocean views and direct access to a 14 km long beautiful, white sandy beach. Located 100 metres up the road, the rainforest property features economy rooms nestled amongst lush internal rainforest gardens.

Both properties provide access to 3 swimming pools, Drift Day Spa, Castaways Beach Bar and Grill and an in-house fitness centre.

The property is located in Mission Beach, a 90-minute drive south of Cairns. Mission Beach boasts a great variety of activities with over 20 nearby islands, white-water rafting, snorkelling and scuba-diving reef trips, skydiving over the beach, crocodile spotting, whale tours, chocolate tours and more.

Castaways Resort offers wedding facilities, corporate event facilities, function and event facilities. There is also a Wedding and Events coordinator to help you if you are organising your special day.

The hotel day starts from hour 14:00 and ends at 10:00.

Please note that there is a 2.5% charge when you pay with a Visa or Mastercard credit card and a 3.5% charge when you pay with an American Express or Diners Club credit card.

In line with the Queensland Government’s Public Health Measures, from 17 December 2021, or when 80% of the state’s population is double vaccinated, only fully vaccinated guests will be allowed to enter hospitality venues. This restriction applies to Castaways Resort and Spa.

Guests will be required to show proof of full vaccination status at the time of booking. Each member of the travelling party over 16 must present their own certificate. Currently, children under 16 years old doneed to be vaccinated but must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adultsPlease inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Resort Room - Beachfront. Offering views of the Coral Sea and Dunk Island from the private balcony or garden. Please note that the rate is based on 2 guests. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests (see Hotel Policies). ;
Two-Bedroom Apartment - Beachfront. These apartments are beachfront and feature a kitchenette and a private balcony or garden patio overlooking the ocean. ;
Superior Queen Resort Room - Beachfront. This room offers a private balcony with a sun lounge and views of the Coral Sea and Dunk Island. The en suite bathroom has a shower or bathtub. ;
Family Resort Room - Beachfront. This room features a private garden patio or balcony overlooking the Coral Sea and Dunk Island. It also has a microwave and refrigerator. ;
Superior Suite - Beachfront. This split-level suite features a relaxing spa bath and a balcony overlooking the Coral Sea and Dunk Island. It has a kitchenette and a spacious lounge and dining area. ;
Three-Bedroom House - Beachfront. Located on the beachfront, this house features a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area and a covered outdoor patio with a plunge pool and views across the Coral Sea and Dunk Island. It boasts a spa bath and laundry facilities, as well aslinen and beach towels. There is a TV, surround sound DVD and CD player. Please note that the price is based on 2 guests, additional adults and children incur an additional charge (see Hotel Policies). ;
Queen Room - Beachfront. This double room has air conditioning and satellite TV. These rooms offer views of the Coral Sea through their full length beachfront windows. Please note that this room doesfeature a balcony. It has air conditioning and satellite TV. ;
Rainforest Hotel Room: Separate Property. The spacious double room offers air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, as well as a private bathroom boasting a shower and a hairdryer. This double room features a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a patio. The unit has 1 bed. ;
